Reaching Out!

Hi there,

So, I have done it, I have joined Twitter, this is something that I had been thinking about for ages and never got around to it.

The advantages, not sure yet but in order to grow and develop in every way you have to reach out to others that you might be able to help. Just a few words can sometimes make all the difference to what is going on in someone's life so maybe, just maybe I can help someone out there.

I have been working hard on my website www.soulenergyrising.com and although it is now out there I am continually building it up so that it gets bigger and better for all of my members.

I find it so exciting to be able to offer people so much information and books etc. etc. on an ongoing basis. I know how much I have spent over the years on finding information or buying books to help myself grow and develop as a person.

On that note I have just been introduced by a very good friend about the most fantastic book on prosperity and the really annoying thing is it has been around since 1964. I obviously wasn't supposed to know about it until now but it really blows you away.

If you have read the 'Secret' then this actually tells you how to do it, really tells you!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look it is on the front page of my webiste - incredible, amazing and sooooooo easy it will blow your mind and hopefully give you the desired health, wealth and happiness that each and every one of us deserves.

Did you know IT IS A SIN TO BE POOR - believe it and read this book.

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

Having looked at how we see the world and also the difference a positive attitude can make it is now time to look at where the real problem lies and believe me this is the hard part.

Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives and then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere –

“How did their life become so adorably sweet?
How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?” Then I pause and think for awhile… How many times, and how many people, over the years have told me that I have to start with ‘self’. Perhaps that was where these people had started to work and I decided then and there to do the same.

So, how does one become genuinely happy?

Step 1 is to love yourself.

A very wise teacher once said to me that "loving means accepting. To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great deal of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve our repertoire and to recover from our mistakes. "

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”

I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, winning and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. So can we be genuinely happy in spite all these? Of course, and it is often in the little simple pleasures that we find the greatest happiness, such as every time you exert effort to improve the quality of your life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your beautiful pets or playing with your children. How do you feel after these simple and pleasurable activities?

Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life don’t go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy? Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. When you find yourself smiling at your own mistake and telling your self “Oh, I’ll do better next time”, you carry with you a flame of strong will power to persevere that may spread out like a brush fire. You possess a willingness to stand up again and try – that will make you a genuinely happy person.

When you learn to accept yourself and your own faults unconditionally you can become genuinely happy”. Once you accept and love yourself for who you are you will radiate a happiness for all to see. It is important to realize that the only way to truly accept and love others unconditionally, for who they are, is to first accept and love yourself, for who you are.

The biggest and most beautiful thing in the world is love and the only way to love is unconditionally, accepting people for who they are. Love them for their quirky traits, their awful habits, their wonderful smile, their infectious laughter, every single part of each individual person is perfectly in harmony with this universe in which we live. That includes you. Without you, something is missing, just like a piece from a jigsaw, without which the final picture is not complete. So this universe without you is incomplete - that is how important and loved you are.

Look at yourself in the mirror – look deep into your eyes at the being within and feel the love rise from the depths of your soul – feel the love and be genuinely happy - self love is the key to love and genuine happiness.

The Power of a Positive Attitude

I am going to ask you to something very weird right now. First of all, I want you to listen to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts fill your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative?

Now let's say you are walking down the street with these thoughts. Do you think anyone who would meet you would be able to tell you what’s on your mind?

The answer to number one is up to you. But, the answer number two can be pretty generic. Although people will not be able to tell you exactly what you think, they will more or less have an idea of how you are feeling.

Here's another question. When you enter a party filled with friends, do they all fall silent as if something terrible had happened? Or does everybody there perk up as if waiting for something exciting to happen?

You know what? The answer to all these depends totally on your frame of mind.

Thoughts are very powerful. They affect your general attitude. The attitude you carry reflects how you look, unless, of course, you are a great actor, and it doesn't end there, your attitude most definitely affects those around you.

The type of attitude you carry around you depends upon you. It can be either positive or negative. Positive thoughts have a warming, happy effect, they can be invigorating and people around you when you have these positive thoughts will be energized by this wonderful attitude you have.

Negative thoughts on the other hand have a sapping effect on other people and apart from making you look gloomy and sad, they also make everyone around you feel the same and can turn even the most festive gathering into a funeral wake.

A positive attitude attracts people, while a negative attitude repels them. People tend to shy away from those who carry a negative attitude.

Lets define attitude as the way of looking at the world. If you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, you will most definitely have a negative attitude towards everything around you and in your life. If however, you choose to focus on the positive things around you, and in your life, then you will not only have a positive attitude but this will affect all around you, and with whom you come in contact, making life truly wonderful.

You have so much to gain from a very positive attitude. Studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes better health. Those with this kind of attitude also have more friends. projecting a positive attitude also helps you to handle stress and problems better than those who have a negative attitude.

A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you will love the way you are and are satisfied, confident, and self-assured, you also make others are around feel the same way.

A negative attitude, on the other hand, has, of course, an opposite effect. So, carrying a negative attitude has a twofold drawback. You feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way.

If you want to have a positive attitude, you have to think happy thoughts. This is probably very hard to do nowadays since, all around us, the media feeds us nothing but negative thoughts. It is, however, not impossible. When you hear those negative thoughts in your head remember something that made you feel happy, where you felt a glow from deep within and think about it, feel your mood swing in a positive direction and keep it there. If you practice this it does become easier to dispel a negative thought and feel happy again. Sadly for our children a recent study has shown that for every 14 things a parent says to his or her child, only one is positive. Next time you want to express how you feel about something, think before you speak.

If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? Well, for starters, you could see a funny movie, you could play with your children, spend some time telling jokes with friends or play with your pets. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude and you then have a multitude of happy thoughts to fall back on when you need them.

Although it is impossible to keep ourselves from the negative things around us, you can still carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life.

And this positive attitude you now carry can be of benefit to other people. Sometimes when other people feel down, the thing people mostly do is try to give them advice. But sometimes, all they need is somebody to sit by them, and listen to them. If you have a positive attitude you may be able to cheer them up without even having to say anything.

No doubt you are asking yourself, if a positive attitude is so great, why do so many people choose to adopt a negative attitude instead? Sometimes it can be that someone who has a negative attitude is actually sending a signal for help or attention. Before you get me wrong, feeling sad, angry, or gloomy is not wrong in itself, but dwelling on these thoughts for too long is not healthy either. There is a time to mourn but there is also much to be grateful for.

As always, if you are beset by troubles, even in your darkest hour, focus on the good things in life, you will always have hope. Problems are something that you can overcome.

You have nothing to lose by adopting a healthy, positive attitude. Studies show that such an attitude actually holds back the aging process, makes you healthier, helps you develop a better stress coping mechanism, and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day. So, what's not to like about a positive attitude? Adopt one today.

What’s Your Point of View?

"Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."- Frederick Langbridge, A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts

If you were second in a writing contest, would you jump for joy and push for better results the next time or would you be so discouraged that you would find an excuse not to do that again?

In life, you will always have choices to make. You may opt to have a pessimist’s view of life and find life to be unrewarding and tiresome or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and enjoy a challenging and fulfilling life, full of happiness and excitement.

So why nurture an optimist’s point of view? And why now?

Well, maybe because optimism has been linked to positive mood and good morale; to academic, athletic, military, occupational and political success; to popularity; to good health and even to long life and freedom from trauma.

Sadly, on the other hand, the rates of depression and pessimism have never been higher. Unfortunately it is no longer a middle-age disorder but now affects much younger people the average age for the onset of depression has gone from 30 to 15. The problem is that the defining characteristic of pessimists is that they tend to believe that anything bad that happens is their fault and this undermines everything they do.

So lets have a look at why it really pays to be an optimist:

Optimists expect the best, so they get the best.

Optimists are also confronted with the same hard knocks of this world. What differs is the way they explain their misfortune. They believe defeat is just a temporary setback and that its causes are confined to this one case.

Optimists tend to look for a solution for the 'problem' at hand. They use 'positive reinterpretation.' In other words, they interpret a negative experience in a way that helps them learn and grow. Such people perceive bad situations as a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

The positive expectancy of optimists also helps them during transitions to new environments, sudden tragedies and unlikely turns of events. If they fall, they will stand up and go on, they see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People always respond positively to optimists, their very being exudes their happiness and positive outlook on life. They are proactive and less dependant upon others for their own happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people and usually attract like minded people to them. Their optimistic view of the world is contagious and influences those around them.

Optimism is a socially desirable trait in all communities. Those who share optimism are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and hysteria are treated unfavorably.

In life, these people often win elections; get voted most congenial and are sought out for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher. Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when difficulties arise whereas optimists will persevere. They do not give up easily and are known for their patience as they inch closer and closer to their goals.

It is interesting to note that medical research has, at last, realized that simple pleasure and laughter combined with a positive outlook can cause an immeasurable increase in the body’s ability to fight disease. This would explain why optimists are healthier and have a tendency to live longer than pessimists.

Because of their outlook optimists’ health is especially good. They age well, they do not experience the usual physical ills of middle age and they usually get to outlive those prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today, and every other day of your life? Think positively towards a more fulfilled life, laugh a lot and enjoy your life to the full.. Like everyone else you too are bound to hit lows sometimes but don’t just stay there, treat it as an experience, pick yourself up, find a solution and get back on the right track

Look forward to success in all your endeavors, be resilient and inspire others to remove their dark glasses and see life on the bright side.
