2012?? and Life in General

I am so sorry that I have only just got around to posting again on Soul Energy Rising, work has taken over and as money is a necessity, it has to be done. Thank you so much LLnL for your comments on my last post and sorry I did not get back to you. It is so nice to hear from someone who appears to be travelling the same road as I am even if we are a distance apart.

I am often looked upon as very strange because of my outlook on life and my openness. I must admit to being a bit of a loner and I love my own company, I learned several years ago loneliness comes from within and a sense of not knowing, not loving, ourselves, not accepting unconditionally who we are. When you turn this around and accept yourself for who you are and love yourself for who you are, you will begin to shine, you will attract into your life those who are drawn to the wonderful energy you put out and you will have soul mates, a variety of them to share your life and the greatness of this universe we live in.

I am about to make some very controversial comments about this wonderful world we live in but I really am fed up with hearing all of the scaremongering that goes on in order for others to make money out of people's fear.

It is said that in 2012 the world will end??? It is said that we are destroying the world with our technology our 'emissions' into the atmosphere etc?? It is said that the earth will run out of resources that keep us alive??? It is said that we will run out of water???

Let me just say that there is no sign, in reality, that the world will 'end' in 2012 regardless of what is being said. The earth is a living entity and like all other living entities it has cycles in its life where changes occur in order for its life to continue.

All of the things happening around the world are natural changes, occurring because this wonderful world is alive and kicking. We are just a tiny part of this universe, this world, and do not, regardless of how important we may think we are, have a say in how the world changes, it is something that is way beyond us and our knowledge. The earth will always provide for us, there will always be plenty of resources to enable life to go on as it does.

Take a look around, never mind what politicians are telling us, look at what is around you, look at all that the natural world has to offer us and all creatures that live on this earth, therein lies the truth. As far as water is concerned, can anyone tell me where this water is going if it is running out?? We are drinking water that the dinosaurs drank, remember the water cycle, where does it go - it does not disappear into the atmosphere, it remains here within our world so that we will always have enough.

For anyone worrying about our world please feel safe in the knowledge that this universe and our world will provide all that we need whenever we need. Stop listening to and reading the 'news' that is determined to keep us down with worry, start believing, loving and enjoying this beautiful world we live in knowing from the depths of your soul that all you need will be given.

Past Lives!

I have been very preoccupied since the death of my father and must admit that I have not taken the time out to write on this blog. However, I am now, I feel, back on track and will be adding posts here on a more regular basis once again.

When in England I came across a book on Past Life Healing which caught my eye. Firstly because I trained as a Past Life Healer several years ago and secondly because it was claiming that you could do this on your own. Now I know there are several differing opinions with regard to this and I know that there are people who regress hundreds of people at the same time in large centres etc. It was therefore with great skepticism that I read this book and I was reminded once again that this is somewhere that only a few people can go with confidence without any help. Even though there were ways described that one could regress into past lives it was obvious that the people involved also had the writer there as a 'safety net' I am relieved to say. In order to deal with what happened in previous lives and to achieve a clear picture as to the relevance in your life today you need to be able to talk it through, have a sounding board, for want of a better word.

You see, in my humble opinion, it is necessary that someone is there to guide you because of what may or may not have occurred in your past lives. Sometimes there can be quite frightening things that happened and they can be very hard to deal with if you are doing this on your own. It is an incredible experience and it does make a difference to your life in the present but please make sure if you go down this road do it with someone you trust and feel secure with.

Anyone have any other opinions on this I would love to hear from you.

A lifelong romance!

'To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance',
a brilliant and often quoted remark from Oscar Wilde.

The majority of us are under the illusion that we are not good enough, unlovable, not worthy of love and the list goes on...... Why? Most of the time it is due to our upbringing and the information we have gathered over time that we take on board as part of ourselves. Why is it that out of one hundred remarks where 88% are good, do we always remember all of the 12% negative remarks and cannot even remember the good ones?

Until we change how we feel about ourselves we will remain in the position we are in at the moment. If we think that we are worthless and unlovable we will attract just that into our lives. If we are fearful and insecure then we hide away from life and miss out on all of the wonderful opportunities that life has to offer.

So as from today I want each and everyone of you to change the way you think about yourself!!

To love yourself is not selfish it is imperative. At the end of the day you have to live with you for the rest of your life so make yourself someone you love living with and others will also feel this too. Do you want to spend your life with a misery or someone who sees the good in all?? Ok so from now on love yourself, be kind to yourself, look after yourself, your body, your mind and your spirit. Accept yourself, faults and all, for who you are and love that with all your heart. Say to yourself continually during the day - I love and accept myself for who I am unconditionally - the more you say it the more you will believe it and eventually what seems quite alien now will be a part of you and very natural in no time at all. Say it loud in front of the mirror, in your head while on the bus, train or wherever, just say it and say it over and over again.

Try this for the next week and notice the changes, subtle and succinct, that take place in you and how you feel about life, as the week continues.

Get back to me and let me know.

Life After Death?

As someone who truly believes that we live on after death, the death of my father has hit me much harder than I imagined it would. I apologise for those of you who visit and receive feeds from this blog as I really have not had the heart to write anything. I know deep in my very soul that we are eternal beings and that my dad is somewhere beautiful and much, much happier than he was over the past six months or so. What is so distressing is knowing that I can no longer pick up the phone and see how he is or even nag him when he hasn't been eating properly or taking his medicine. Funny how, just knowing he was there was enough and now he is not. I have been arranging his belongings and his funeral almost from a distance, if you know what I mean - just doing and not thinking at all. We had had a long distance relationship over the past four years as I live in Mallorca and he lived in England but the connection was always there.

How do I feel? I really don't know or rather cannot explain it. How do I cope with grief? I don't know the answer to that either as I am still trying to understand how I feel. Each and every one of us is different and each relationship shared by two people is individual to those two people. I do know that I miss him, now I know he is no longer there, I am distressed that I didn't get to see him before he died. I last saw him in January. I also feel guilty that I didn't do more, although I don't know what I could have done.

I am truly grateful for having had him as my dad and sharing a great part of my life with him. I am also grateful that my belief in life after death is so strong and I know that I will see him again when my time comes.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to anyone who has lost someone they love, keep the memory of them in your hearts and know that this is not the end for them, or us, but the beginning of something new.

What’s Your Point of View?

"Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."- Frederick Langbridge, A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts

If you were second in a writing contest, would you jump for joy and push for better results the next time or would you be so discouraged that you would find an excuse not to do that again?

In life, you will always have choices to make. You may opt to have a pessimist’s view of life and find life to be unrewarding and tiresome or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and enjoy a challenging and fulfilling life, full of happiness and excitement.

So why nurture an optimist’s point of view? And why now?

Well, maybe because optimism has been linked to positive mood and good morale; to academic, athletic, military, occupational and political success; to popularity; to good health and even to long life and freedom from trauma.

Sadly, on the other hand, the rates of depression and pessimism have never been higher. Unfortunately it is no longer a middle-age disorder but now affects much younger people the average age for the onset of depression has gone from 30 to 15. The problem is that the defining characteristic of pessimists is that they tend to believe that anything bad that happens is their fault and this undermines everything they do.

So lets have a look at why it really pays to be an optimist:

Optimists expect the best, so they get the best.

Optimists are also confronted with the same hard knocks of this world. What differs is the way they explain their misfortune. They believe defeat is just a temporary setback and that its causes are confined to this one case.

Optimists tend to look for a solution for the 'problem' at hand. They use 'positive reinterpretation.' In other words, they interpret a negative experience in a way that helps them learn and grow. Such people perceive bad situations as a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

The positive expectancy of optimists also helps them during transitions to new environments, sudden tragedies and unlikely turns of events. If they fall, they will stand up and go on, they see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People always respond positively to optimists, their very being exudes their happiness and positive outlook on life. They are proactive and less dependant upon others for their own happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people and usually attract like minded people to them. Their optimistic view of the world is contagious and influences those around them.

Optimism is a socially desirable trait in all communities. Those who share optimism are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and hysteria are treated unfavorably.

In life, these people often win elections; get voted most congenial and are sought out for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher. Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when difficulties arise whereas optimists will persevere. They do not give up easily and are known for their patience as they inch closer and closer to their goals.

It is interesting to note that medical research has, at last, realized that simple pleasure and laughter combined with a positive outlook can cause an immeasurable increase in the body’s ability to fight disease. This would explain why optimists are healthier and have a tendency to live longer than pessimists.

Because of their outlook optimists’ health is especially good. They age well, they do not experience the usual physical ills of middle age and they usually get to outlive those prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today, and every other day of your life? Think positively towards a more fulfilled life, laugh a lot and enjoy your life to the full.. Like everyone else you too are bound to hit lows sometimes but don’t just stay there, treat it as an experience, pick yourself up, find a solution and get back on the right track

Look forward to success in all your endeavors, be resilient and inspire others to remove their dark glasses and see life on the bright side.
